How to play Beehive Bloom Defense

Plant bee hives, lavender and sprinklers on tree stumps, pick a specialty for each helper and keep four gardens blooming.

1. Pick a garden and press Play. Pests will walk the path toward the flower bed by the beehive cottage.
2. Tap an empty tree stump to open the helper ring. Tap a helper once to see its reach and what it does, then tap it again to plant it. With a mouse, point at a helper to see it and click to plant.
3. Check the wave preview at the bottom, then press Start wave 1. Each pest that reaches the flower bed takes one or more of your 20 blooms.
4. Defeated pests give nectar. Tap a planted helper to upgrade it to level 2, then choose one of its two specialties, then Full Bloom. You can also sell a helper there.
5. After each wave has arrived, a countdown starts. Press the wave button early for bonus nectar, or use the time to build.
6. Keep blooms until the last wave and its boss are gone to save the garden: 18 or more blooms earn three stars, 10 or more earn two.

Controls

• Touch: tap a stump or helper to open its ring, tap a choice to see it, tap it again to confirm.
• Mouse: click a stump or helper; point at a choice to see it and click to confirm. Selling always asks for a second click.
• Keyboard: arrow keys move between stumps, Enter opens one, number keys pick a choice and Enter confirms, Space starts or calls the next wave, F changes speed, Escape closes the ring or opens the garden menu.
• The garden menu button (three lines) pauses and offers Restart this garden or Back to the gardens, each with a confirmation.
• Shared toolbar: pause, restart, sound, help and fullscreen.
