A cozy village to share with your friends
CozyWorld Village is a small seaside village for adults who like to take their time. Send a friend a link and they move in next door. Keep your cottages and gardens side by side, fish off the harbor, row on the pond and get to know the residents, who keep their own hours from the first bake of the morning to the last song at the beach bar.
Free for you and your friends, with no download and no sign-up. Works with a keyboard and mouse or a touch screen.
Play with friends: send a link, they move in next door
Every village has six houses, so you and up to five friends can live side by side. Inviting a friend takes one link, and all they need is a web browser.
- Tap Invite a friend. The green button is at the top right of the game, beside Settings. Copy your invite link, or on a phone share it straight to a chat.
- Your friend opens the link. The game opens in their browser on a computer, tablet or phone, with nothing to install and no account to make.
- They move in next door. They tap Move in next door, pick a name and a look, and arrive in your village with a house of their own. There is no code to type.
What you do together
- See each other about the village while you are both playing, and wave, cheer, clap or send a heart.
- Visit each other's cottages and gardens. You choose whether friends walk straight in or knock first.
- Work on the same town project, fill the week's village order and keep the festivals and holidays together.
- Set off fireworks over the bay for everyone to watch, take the rowing boat out while friends look on, and sit together on a bench or at the Driftwood.
- Bring your pet along: friends see your dog, cat or rabbit trotting at your heels.
Only the friends you invite
Strangers never wander in: only someone with your link or your village's code can move in. There is no chat between players, only friendly emotes. You can block anyone in your village, and the player who started it can make a new code, which stops the old link working, or ask someone to leave. A friend who already plays sees whose village the link is for and chooses whether to move in, bringing their cottage, look and coins with them.
A village that keeps its own hours
The village runs on its own clock, with a day and night of its own. The residents have jobs, lunch breaks and evenings out: the baker opens up, the florist minds her shop, the carpenter saws planks at his bench and the boats come in to the harbor. As the light goes, the lamps come on and the village drifts down to the Driftwood, the beach bar on Cove Beach, for a drink, a tune on the ukulele and a dance on the sand. Residents head home by turns, the Driftwood stays open until 3 AM, and Silas the old fisherman brings his trawler in at sunset, spends the evening at the bar and sails again in the small hours. The bakery lights up at 4 AM, hours before anyone else. Drop in at any hour and something different is going on.
Residents remember you. Talk to them by tapping what to say or by typing, help with their chores, bring them presents they like and they write you letters as you become friends.
Things to do
- Make a cottage your own. Furnish its rooms and plant its garden: dig, sow, water and watch it grow between visits.
- Fish and row. Cast a line at the pond or off the harbor quay, fill your fish pages, and take the boathouse's rowing boat out on the pond.
- Walk the shore. Go beachcombing on Cove Beach for shells and other finds, then order an alcohol-free drink from Rosa at the Driftwood.
- Bake and gather. Pick apples, bake at Oliver's oven and collect flowers and their colors for your collection book.
- Adopt a pet. Sadie's Pet Shop has dogs, cats and rabbits, and yours follows you about and naps in your cottage.
- Help the village. Pick up requests from the noticeboard, fill the week's village order and give to the town project to bring the old places back to life.
- Browse Nell's cart. The traveling merchant comes into the square on market days with pieces you will not find anywhere else.
- Stay up late. After dark, comb Cove Beach for what the evening tide left, lie back on a picnic blanket to watch the stars and make a wish on a shooting star, look for the tawny owl and the fireflies, and fish the harbor for the catches that only bite at night.
- Set off fireworks. Buy a box from Rosa at the Driftwood and set it off over the bay after dark. Friends in your village see the show too.
- Sit and rest. Sit down on any bench, cafe chair or sofa, in the village or at home, and lie down on your bed. Friends see you sitting there.
- Keep the seasons. Every autumn the village holds the Harvest Supper, with its own orders, a long table on the green and keepsakes to collect, and the holidays below bring their own decorations and things to do.
There is no energy bar and nothing is lost if you miss a day. Play for ten minutes or a whole evening.
Holidays in the village
The village dresses up for four holidays, each with its own things to do. They come and go by the village's calendar, so there is nothing to switch on.
- Halloween, all of October. Jack-o'-lanterns on the doorsteps and bunting round the square. From 5 PM the residents wear costumes, and from 6 PM to midnight you can trick or treat each of them for a treat to keep on the Halloween page of your collection book.
- Thanksgiving, November 2 to 29. Leaf garlands and wreaths, leaf piles to jump in and a thankful tree that grows a leaf a day. From Thanksgiving Day through the Sunday after, the whole village sits down to dinner at the long table on the green from 6 to 8 PM.
- Christmas, December 1 to New Year's Day. A lit tree in the square, an advent calendar to open each day, carols round the tree every evening until Christmas Eve, presents to wrap for the residents and a gathering round the tree on Christmas morning. Some December evenings it snows.
- Easter, the two weeks before Easter Sunday through Easter Monday. An egg tree in the square, eight painted eggs to hunt for every day, a picnic at noon, chicks to feed and an Easter basket waiting for you on Easter Sunday.

Questions
- Is CozyWorld Village free?
- Yes. It is free to play, with nothing to buy. Coins are earned in the game and spent in the game.
- Do I need to download anything?
- No. It runs in your web browser on a computer, tablet or recent phone. It needs a browser with WebGL 2, which current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari have.
- Do I need an account?
- No sign-up is needed. Your first visit creates a guest account on our server with no name, email or password, and your character, cottage and belongings are saved there. A sign-in cookie finds your character again on the same browser. To play on another phone or computer, choose Keep with a passkey in the game's settings, then sign in with that passkey on the other device.
- Can I play with friends?
- Yes, and it is free for them too. Tap Invite a friend at the top right of the game and send your friend the link. It opens the game in their browser, and once they have picked a name and a look they move in next door, with no code to type. Each village has six houses. Friends see each other walk about, visit each other's cottages and work on the same town project, orders and festivals. Only people you invite can move in.
- Is there chat with other players?
- No. Friends in a village wave and cheer with emotes. You can type to the village residents, and the game removes contact details and links from what you type.
- Does the village change with the seasons?
- Yes. The village dresses up and has things to do for Halloween (all of October), Thanksgiving (November 2 to 29), Christmas (December 1 to New Year's Day) and Easter (the two weeks before Easter Sunday through Easter Monday), and holds the Harvest Supper at the end of October. The holidays go by the village's own calendar, so they arrive on their own.
- What if I get motion sick in 3D games?
- The settings have a field of view slider and a camera turn speed, and a wider view helps many people. You can also walk by tapping or clicking the ground instead of steering.
