Mossy Stack
One moving block. One well-timed tap. A little tower in the trees.
What you do
Stack ten moss-topped wooden blocks without missing the tower. Each block sweeps from side to side until you drop it. Only the part above the previous block stays, so an off-center landing makes your next target narrower. A near-perfect centered landing keeps the moving log’s width and earns a bonus. Choose Classic, Hard, or Expert before the round. Hard starts each new log 6% narrower than its support; Expert starts it 10% narrower, with faster movement in both modes. The blocks gradually speed up, but there is no countdown: let another pass come around before you commit.

How to play
- Choose Classic, Hard, or Expert, then Start stacking. Difficulty stays fixed during the round.
- Tap the board or Drop block when its edges match the dotted guides above your tower.
- The overlapping part stays. Overhang is trimmed. Perfect keeps the moving log’s width. Hard logs start 6% narrower than their support; Expert logs start 10% narrower, even after Perfect.
- Earn 100 points per landing, plus 50 for Perfect. Stack ten blocks to finish; a complete miss ends the round.
- Choose Stack again for a fresh tower. There is no time limit and you can wait for another pass.
Controls
- Touch or mouse: tap the board or Drop block.
- Keyboard: focus the board and press Space, or use Tab and Enter on the buttons.
- The toolbar provides pause, instructions, restart, sound, and fullscreen.
Tips worth knowing
- Watch the top block of the tower, not the wider base.
- Protect width early: that room helps when later blocks move faster.
- You can let the block pass and try on the return journey.
- Wait for the landing to settle before making the next drop.
Accessibility
- A large Drop block button duplicates board input.
- Keyboard play supports the focused board and labeled buttons.
- Reduced motion removes decorative movement; the moving block remains essential to timing. Optional sounds can be muted.
- This is a visual timing challenge, including when played with a keyboard.
Questions
What changes on Hard and Expert?
Hard moves at 140 to 248 board units per second and each incoming log is 6% narrower than its support. Expert moves at 190 to 334 and each new log is 10% narrower. Classic uses 90 to 171 and only loses width to overhang. Scores use the same rules in all modes. Choose difficulty between rounds; replay and Restart keep it, while reloading returns to Classic.
How do Perfect landings work?
Align within six logical board units to snap to the center of the supporting block, preserve the moving log’s width, and earn 150 points instead of 100. The board scales to your screen.
Does Mossy Stack save progress?
No. Runs and scores are not saved. Pause keeps the current run in the open tab; reloading or closing starts over.
Is there a time limit?
No. Blocks keep moving until you drop. A complete miss ends the run, and ten successful drops complete the tower.
