Cozy Strategy
Full House Bakery
Bake cakes from ingredient cards and feed every day's growing queue.
What you do
A cozy card roguelite in twelve days. Your pantry is a deck of flour, butter, sugar and berry cards numbered 1 to 10. Each day you draw seven, choose up to five and bake: a pair makes Twin Cookies, three of a kind a Triple Scone, five numbers in a row a Swiss Roll, three plus two a Layer Cake, and five in a row of one ingredient a Showstopper. Every bake scores slices times sweetness, and the slices feed the customers queuing at the counter. Some customers wish for something special and tip if you bake it. Between days, spend coins at the market on café regulars who bend the scoring, recipe pages that level up a recipe, and pantry changes that reshape your deck. The queue grows each day; run out of bakes before everyone is fed and the bakery closes.
- Nine recipes made from simple card patterns, from Crumb Cake to the five-card Showstopper.
- Twenty café regulars with different effects, from the lucky café cat to the tea lady who rewards saved swaps.
- Customer wishes that pay tips, plus a village fete, a wedding and a winter market to plan around.
- Recipe pages and pantry changes, so each year's deck and scoring grow differently.
- A turn-based game with no timers: think as long as you like before each bake.
How to play
- Press Open the bakery. Each day you have seven ingredient cards, four bakes and three swaps.
- Choose up to five cards and press Bake. The best recipe those cards make is baked; the preview shows its slices and sweetness first.
- Slices times sweetness is the number of slices baked. Only the cards that make the recipe add their numbers to the slices.
- Choose cards you do not want and press Swap to draw replacements. Swaps do not use a bake.
- Bake enough slices to feed the whole queue before you run out of bakes. Customers with a wish tip coins when a bake that matches finishes their order.
- At the market between days, spend coins on regulars (up to five seats), recipe pages or a pantry change, then open for the next day. Feed all twelve days to finish the year.
Controls
- Touch or mouse: tap cards to choose them, then Bake or Swap.
- Tap a regular in the café to read exactly what they do. The book button lists every recipe.
- Keyboard: number keys 1 to 7 choose cards from left to right, B bakes and S swaps. Tab and Enter or Space work on every button.
- Use the toolbar for pause, help, restart, optional sound and fullscreen.
Tips worth knowing
- Swap early in the day. A swap costs nothing but a card, and a pair or better scores far more than a Crumb Cake.
- Five-card recipes add every card's number, so a Layer Cake or Swiss Roll of high numbers is worth chasing.
- Regulars that multiply sweetness, such as the knitting twins, the village choir and the head chef, grow stronger as your recipes improve.
- Buy recipe pages for the recipe you bake most often. Levels add both slices and sweetness.
- Leftover bakes are worth a coin each at the end of a day, so finishing early pays.
Accessibility
- Ingredients differ in icon shape (wheat, butter block, sugar cube, berries) as well as colour, and every card has a text label for screen readers.
- All actions use native buttons at least 44 pixels high. Number keys, B and S are shortcuts, and Tab with Enter or Space works everywhere.
- There are no timers: every decision can take as long as you need.
- Sound is optional and never needed to play.
Questions
How is a bake scored?
Each recipe has base slices and sweetness, which rise with its level. The cards that make the recipe add their numbers to the slices. Regulars then add slices or sweetness, and some multiply sweetness. Slices times sweetness is the total baked.
What happens if I run out of bakes?
If the queue is not fed when your last bake of the day is used, the bakery closes and the year ends. Your total slices baked is your score.
What does Full House Bakery save?
Just your best total of slices baked, on this device. A year in progress is not saved, so reloading deals a fresh pantry and queue. Saves from other games stay as they are.
Is every year the same?
No. The cards you draw, the customers' wishes and the regulars, recipe pages and pantry items at the market change every year. The special days are always day 4, day 8 and day 12.
