Lily Leap
Land eight lily-pad hops before three splashes.
What you do
A little frog, a bright pond, and one place to land. Tap a spot on the water to begin a short hop. Your landing point stays fixed while the lily pad keeps drifting, so aim where the pad will be when you arrive. The first two pads stay still; later pads move and gradually give you less landing room. Eight successful hops cross the pond. A splash retries the same hop, but the third ends the round.
- Eight successful hops give each pond crossing a clear finish.
- Drifting pads turn a simple tap into an aiming challenge.
- Land near the center for 150 points instead of 100.
- Three splashes leave room to learn from a miss.
- Direct touch and mouse play, plus keyboard aiming.
How to play
- Tap the pond where you want the frog to land. The game is ready immediately.
- A hop takes 0.65 seconds. Your landing point stays fixed while the target pad moves.
- Land on the pad to earn 100 points, or within 18 board units of its center for 150.
- Complete eight hops to cross the pond. A miss earns no points and retries the same hop; three misses end the round.
- Replay starts a fresh crossing. There is no countdown and no saved run or score.
Controls
- Touch or mouse: tap or click a landing spot on the pond.
- Keyboard: focus the pond, move the aiming ring with arrow keys, then press Space or Enter to hop.
- Use the toolbar for pause, help, restart, optional sound, and fullscreen.
Tips worth knowing
- Use the first two stationary pads to learn the hop and landing ring.
- Aim ahead in the direction the pad is moving.
- Near a turn, wait to see which way the pad heads before committing.
- A safe landing is worth more than a risky center bonus that becomes a splash.
Accessibility
- The pond supports direct touch and mouse input without dragging or hover.
- Arrow keys move a visible aiming ring; Space or Enter launches the hop.
- Reduced motion removes decorative movement. Pad drift and the hop remain essential to this visual aiming game.
- Optional sound can be muted. Pause freezes the crossing.
Questions
Does Lily Leap save my crossing?
No. Runs and scores stay only in the open tab. Pause keeps the current crossing there; reload or closing starts a new one. Existing saves for other games are left alone.
What makes a centered landing?
The landing point must be within 18 logical board units of the pad center at the end of the hop. It earns 150 points. Other safe landings earn 100. The board scales with your screen.
Do I have to hop quickly?
No. There is no countdown. Watch the pad and choose when to jump. Once the frog takes off, the landing point cannot be changed.
