What you do

Harvest Grid is a falling crop puzzle played on a tall farm board where every vegetable has its own little clock. Drop crop pieces into neat rows, wait just long enough for them to ripen, then harvest before the field turns into compost with regrets.

  • Falling crop pieces built for a few calm minutes.
  • Row harvests with a farm twist.
  • Crops age while you play, turning from young sprouts to prime harvests to rot.
  • Fresh, mature rows feel better than frantic clears.
  • Next-piece preview, ghost drop preview, soft drop, hard drop, and rising speed.

How to play

  1. Move and rotate the falling crop piece before it lands.
  2. Fill every tile in a horizontal row to harvest that row.
  3. Mature fresh crops score best when the row clears.
  4. Old crops rot over time and clear for zero points.
  5. The run ends when new crops can no longer enter the board.

Controls

  • Keyboard: A/D or left/right arrows move the crop piece.
  • Keyboard: W, R, or up arrow rotates the crop piece.
  • Keyboard: S or down arrow soft drops.
  • Keyboard: Space hard drops. Use the toolbar restart button to restart.

Tips worth knowing

  • Do not always hard drop immediately. Crops need a little time to mature.
  • Strawberries rot quickly, so clear them earlier than pumpkins.
  • Multi-row clears add a bonus, but rotten crops in the row are worth nothing.
  • Use the ghost preview to place awkward shapes cleanly.
  • As speed rises, keep the top of the board open for larger pieces.

Accessibility

  • The game can be paused from the shared play toolbar.
  • Instructions and controls are available as page text outside the canvas.
  • Keyboard controls are supported for active play.

Questions

Is Harvest Grid like Tetris?

Yes. This version uses falling crop pieces and horizontal row clears, but the farm twist is that crops age and score differently depending on freshness and maturity.

Do crops sell or go into storage?

No. Harvest Grid stays focused on the field itself: place crops, complete rows, and harvest immediately.

What happens when crops rot?

Rotten crops still occupy the board and can be cleared, but they add zero harvest points.
