Carrot Pop
Pop 20 carrots before four mistakes; leave the purple moles alone.
What you do
Nine garden holes, orange carrots and friendly purple moles. Tap each carrot before it disappears, while leaving the moles alone. Every carrot earns 100 points, or 150 if you pop it within 450 milliseconds of its appearance. The fixed sequence gradually gets quicker, but each carrot stays up for at least one second. A missed carrot or a tapped mole adds one mistake. Gather 20 carrots before the fourth mistake to finish, then start another round inside the board. Rounds and scores are not saved.
- A short reaction round with 20 carrots to gather and a four-mistake limit.
- Nine large buttons support touch, mouse and keyboard numbers 1–9.
- Quick pops within 450 milliseconds earn 150 points instead of 100.
- Friendly purple moles share the garden, but never the active carrot hole.
- Clear results and immediate replay inside the board, with no saved scores or runs.
How to play
- Press Start popping inside the garden board.
- Tap the orange carrot before it disappears. Leave the purple mole alone.
- A carrot earns 100 points, or 150 when tapped within 450 milliseconds of appearing.
- A missed carrot or a tapped mole adds one mistake. Empty holes and ignored moles cost nothing.
- Gather 20 carrots before four mistakes. Pop again starts a fresh round immediately; toolbar restart returns to the start screen.
Controls
- Touch or mouse: tap the hole containing an orange carrot. No hover or dragging is needed.
- Keyboard: use 1–9, matching the visible labels across the three rows. Arrow keys move focus between holes; Enter or Space activates a focused button.
- Use the toolbar for pause, help, restart, optional sound and fullscreen.
Tips worth knowing
- Watch all nine holes rather than repeatedly tapping one spot.
- Check the shape before you tap: carrots have green leaves; moles have ears and paws.
- Aim for a clean round first. A later carrot still earns 100 points and advances the goal.
- Ignore the purple moles completely. They disappear without a penalty.
Accessibility
- Nine native buttons are at least 44 pixels wide and high in the supported layouts.
- Number keys 1–9 and standard button activation provide keyboard play. Arrow keys move focus across the rows.
- Carrots and moles have distinct shapes as well as colors. This game requires visual target recognition and timed reactions.
- Reduced motion removes decorative pop and score animations. Target appearances and disappearance are essential to the rules.
- Toolbar pause and optional audio are available; sound is not needed to identify targets.
Questions
What does Carrot Pop save?
Nothing. Neither the current round nor scores are stored. Reloading or returning later starts at the ready screen. Other games’ existing saves are preserved.
What counts as a mistake?
Missing an orange carrot or tapping a purple mole. Each adds one mistake, and the fourth ends the round. Ignoring a mole or tapping an empty hole is harmless.
What is the highest score?
3,000 points: 20 carrots popped within 450 milliseconds of appearing, at 150 points each. Later pops earn 100 points. A win with all later pops scores 2,000.
Are the carrots random?
No. Each round uses the same 23-carrot sequence. You win as soon as you gather 20, leaving room for up to three missed carrots if you avoid other mistakes. Carrots gradually appear more quickly, and each remains available for at least one second.
